Te mapa
Đố Sơn lies southeast of Hai Phong in northern Vietnam, on a narrow peninsula that extends into the Gulf of Tonkin. From above, a chain of low hills runs along the peninsula's spine, and roads wind around them toward beaches and small bays on either side. The name is often linked to these hills, which local legend compares to the shape of a dragon.
The area has been a seaside resort since the French colonial period, and hotels, villas and promenades line much of the shore. Its beaches are divided into several zones along the peninsula, each with its own stretch of coast and road, which makes the map a sequence of curves between the hills and the sea.
Đố Sơn is also known for its traditional buffalo fighting festival, held each year and drawing large crowds. A Đố Sơn map poster captures the peninsula's shape, its hilly centre and its long coastline, framed by the open water of the gulf on three sides.
A chain of low hills runs down the middle of the peninsula, with roads curving around their slopes, giving the map its shape and relief.
Several stretches of beach line the coast, each with its own promenade, drawing a series of gentle curves between the headlands.
The land narrows toward the sea, ending in a point surrounded by the Gulf of Tonkin, a clean and distinctive end to the map.
