Te mapa
Mỹ Hào lies in Hưng Yên Province, in the heart of the Red River Delta between Hanoi and Hai Phong. The land here is almost perfectly flat. From above it reads as a mosaic of rectangular rice fields, fish ponds and village clusters, crossed by irrigation channels and straight roads that divide the landscape into neat parcels.
The main route between Hanoi and the coast passes through the area, and in recent years Mỹ Hào has changed quickly as industrial parks and new residential zones have grown along it. The older villages remain as small, dense clusters of houses and lanes, often ringed by ponds and trees, scattered among the fields.
A Mỹ Hào map poster shows old and new side by side: the fine, organic patterns of delta villages beside the large blocks and straight roads of industrial development. It is a map of a place in transition, and the contrast between the two scales gives the print a distinctive graphic quality.
Rice fields and ponds form a regular patchwork across the flat land, divided by channels and dikes that give the map a fine, even texture.
The main road between Hanoi and Hai Phong runs straight through the area. New factories and neighbourhoods have gathered along this strong line.
Traditional villages appear as small, dense knots of lanes surrounded by ponds and gardens. They are the oldest and most intricate shapes on the map.
