Gò Công Map Poster & Print
Gò Công sits on the flat lowland of the Mekong Delta near the coast of the South China Sea, in what is now Dong Thap province. From above, the town centre is a compact grid of streets and a market area, surrounded by a dense pattern of canals, rice fields and orchards.
Water shapes almost everything here. Canals run in straight lines between fields, smaller channels branch from them, and roads often follow their banks. Towards the coast the land gives way to mudflats and mangroves along a shore that is constantly changing.
