Te mapa
Haibara-akanedai lies in the hill country of eastern Nara Prefecture, in the area of the former town of Haibara, which is now part of the city of Uda. From above, the landscape is defined by forested ridges and narrow valleys, with settlement following the lower ground and roads bending to fit the terrain rather than a grid.
The residential streets here loop and branch in the way typical of hillside neighbourhoods in Japan, forming soft, organic patterns against the darker mass of the surrounding woods. Rail and road links connect the district westward toward the Nara Basin and Osaka, and eastward into the uplands toward Mie Prefecture.
A Haibara-akanedai map poster captures that contrast between the careful order of houses and the irregular shapes of the hills around them. It is a map with few straight lines, where contour-like streets and small rice-field valleys give the page a calm, almost topographic character.
Instead of a grid, streets follow the slopes in loops and cul-de-sacs, giving the neighbourhood a curved, branching outline that stands out clearly against the forested ground around it.
The district sits in the upland country of eastern Nara, where wooded ridges and narrow farmed valleys shape where people live and how roads are able to run.
Road and rail corridors running through the valleys connect the area with the Nara Basin and the Osaka region, drawn as long threads across an otherwise rural landscape.

Koteā ko Haibara-akanedai
A map of Haibara-akanedai suits someone who grew up among these hills or has family in the Uda area. The flowing street pattern makes an unusually graceful print, closer to a drawing than a diagram.
