Te mapa
Neyagawa sits in the northeast of Osaka Prefecture, on the flat ground between the broad Yodo River and the hills that separate the Osaka basin from Nara. On a map the city is almost entirely built up. A fine mesh of small residential streets is broken only by railway lines, school grounds and the winding channel of the river that gives the city its name.
The Keihan Main Line runs through the city on its way between Osaka and Kyoto, and much of Neyagawa grew as a commuter town in the second half of the twentieth century. That history shows in the plan. Streets grow slightly denser and more commercial around the stations, and large neighbourhoods of houses and apartment blocks surround them in short, irregular grids.
A Neyagawa map poster captures the kind of Japanese city that rarely appears in guidebooks but is home to a large population. In black and white the texture becomes the subject: countless small plots and narrow lanes, the straight embankment of the Yodo along the western edge, and the gentler lines of higher ground toward the east.
The wide, embanked Yodo River forms the city's western boundary. It crosses the frame as a long pale band on its way down toward Osaka Bay.
The small Neya River winds through the city. Its narrow channel and the paths along it add a soft curve to an otherwise tightly packed street mesh.
The Keihan line cuts a clean line through the neighbourhoods. Around each station the street pattern tightens and shops and commercial blocks cluster, marking a clear series of small centres.

Koteā ko Neyagawa
Neyagawa is a place people call home rather than visit, and that is why a map of it means something. For anyone who grew up here, commuted from here to Osaka or Kyoto, or has family in these streets, the plan is instantly familiar.
You can personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a moving-in date, edit the coordinates line and pick one of five styles. The digital pack has six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF, and you can see a free watermarked preview first.
