Te mapa
Suita lies just north of central Osaka, on the edge of the Senri Hills. The southern part of the city, near the Kanzaki River, has an older, finer street pattern of small blocks and narrow lanes, while the north is dominated by planned development on higher ground. Railways run through the city toward Osaka and Kyoto, and expressways cut long, curving lines across the map.
In the north is Senri New Town, begun in the early 1960s as Japan's first large-scale planned new town, with curving roads, neighbourhood centres and green spaces that give the map a distinctive, organic structure. Nearby, the Suita campus of Osaka University spreads across a broad area of hillside, its buildings and paths forming a clear, self-contained shape.
Suita hosted Expo '70, and the Expo '70 Commemorative Park still occupies the site, with Taro Okamoto's Tower of the Sun at its centre. The park appears as a large green area crossed by paths, one of the most recognisable features on the map. A Suita map poster brings together planned neighbourhoods, a university and a park that recall one of Japan's landmark events.

Japan's first large planned new town curves across the northern hills, its looping roads and neighbourhood blocks creating a distinctive, carefully designed pattern.
The Suita campus covers a large hillside area near the Expo park, with its own network of roads and buildings clearly set apart on the map.

Koteā ko Suita
Suita is home to many families, students and researchers, and to people who remember visiting the Expo as children or bringing their own children to the park. A map of the city connects all of those memories in a single view.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a graduation year or the name of a neighbourhood. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download the $9 HD files or order a printed poster, framed if you prefer.
