Te mapa
Haramachi is a community in Ehime Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, in the country south of Matsuyama. The map shows the typical pattern of this part of Japan: narrow streets and houses concentrated on level ground, rice fields and orchards filling the flatter land, and wooded hills rising nearby.
Ehime is known for its citrus cultivation, and the hillsides of the prefecture are often planted with orchards. Small towns like Haramachi are connected by roads that follow the valleys, with rail lines and rivers adding further structure to the landscape.
A Haramachi map poster is a quiet composition of small streets, field boundaries and the soft edges of forested hills. There are no dominant landmarks, but the fine grain of the Japanese townscape gives the print a delicate, detailed character that rewards a closer look.
Narrow lanes and small residential blocks cluster on the flat ground, creating the fine, dense texture that characterises Japanese towns on a map.
Rice paddies and farmland surround the settlement in small regular plots, giving the print an even, finely divided background around the houses.
Forested slopes rise near the town, appearing as open areas crossed by a few winding roads that soften the edges of the composition.
