Te mapa
Itirapina is a small town in the centre of São Paulo state, in a region of low hills, sandy soils and remnants of cerrado vegetation. Its urban area is compact and fairly regular. A grid of blocks surrounds the centre, and railway tracks tie it to the wider interior of the state.
The most striking feature nearby is water. The Broa reservoir, also called Represa do Lobo, lies a short drive from the town and spreads through the valleys in long, irregular arms lined with weekend houses and small beaches. People from São Carlos and neighbouring cities come here to sail and swim, and on a wider map the reservoir becomes a large, expressive centrepiece.
The area around Itirapina also includes protected cerrado land, where research stations study one of Brazil's most threatened landscapes. An Itirapina map poster captures a quiet balance of small-town streets, open savanna and water. It feels very different from the dense urban maps of São Paulo's larger cities.
The reservoir known as Broa or Represa do Lobo spreads in long, branching arms through the valleys and is drawn as a bold shape with a detailed shoreline.
The urban centre is laid out as a regular grid of blocks, a tidy and legible pattern typical of towns in the São Paulo interior.
Around the town, areas of cerrado and open country are only lightly marked on the map, leaving calm space that makes the town and the water stand out.

Koteā ko Itirapina
Many people know Itirapina as a weekend and holiday destination, and a map of the town and its reservoir recalls days on the water. For locals, it is a clear picture of a small, familiar place.
