Te mapa
Jolo is the capital of Sulu province and the main town of the island that shares its name. It sits on the northern coast, where a harbour opens to the Sulu Sea. On a map the settlement is a tight coastal cluster: streets pack close to the waterfront, and the town thins out quickly as the land rises towards the volcanic interior.
For centuries Jolo was the seat of the Sultanate of Sulu, a maritime power whose trade reached across the southern Philippines, Borneo and beyond. In the late nineteenth century the Spanish built a small walled town here, often described as one of the smallest walled cities in the world, and its former footprint remains part of the centre.
A Jolo map poster shows a town defined by its shoreline. Piers and waterfront edges break the coastline into short jagged strokes, while inland roads head up towards the island's hills. The result is a spare, balanced composition where the sea takes up as much of the frame as the town itself.
The waterfront and piers give the northern edge of the map a busy, irregular outline where the densest streets meet the Sulu Sea.
The area of the former Spanish walled town sits near the port, a small, compact district within the wider street pattern.
Roads leaving the town climb towards the volcanic uplands of Jolo Island, turning from a grid into a few winding lines.

Koteā ko Jolo
For families from Sulu and people with ties to the island, this is a quiet, respectful way to keep home on the wall. Personalise the title, add a date or a name in the subtitle, and keep the coordinates as a precise marker.
Pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint shows off the crisp line of the coast, and Paper adds warmth. Choose instant HD files or a printed poster shipped from a nearby partner.
