Te mapa
Kabba lies in the western part of Kogi State, in the uplands where Nigeria's north-central region meets the Yoruba-speaking south-west. It is the traditional centre of the Owe people, part of the wider Okun Yoruba community. On a map, it shows a dense central area of streets and compounds, with building extending along the roads toward neighbouring towns.
The surrounding terrain is hilly, with rocky outcrops and farmland, and this shapes where people build. Streets tend to follow the gentler ground, and the town does not end abruptly. Its edges fade into fields and scattered homesteads. The result is an organic, irregular map, quite different from the planned layouts of newer Nigerian cities.
A Kabba map poster renders this pattern simply. The close-knit centre, the radiating roads and the looser outer districts make a composition that feels quietly grounded and personal. It is a fitting tribute to a hometown that many people carry with them wherever work, studies and family have taken them.
The oldest part of Kabba forms a dense cluster of streets and compounds, the darkest and most detailed area of the poster.
Main roads leave the centre in several directions, and the town has grown along them, giving the map a star-like outline.
Hilly ground and farmland surround the town, so the built-up area thins gradually into open land at the edges of the frame.
