Te mapa
Kade is the capital of the Kwaebibirem municipality in Ghana's Eastern Region, set in the forest zone of the Birim River basin. The land here is gently rolling and heavily cultivated, and the town functions as a service and market centre for the surrounding farms, where oil palm, cocoa and food crops are grown across the district.
From above, Kade has the organic structure common to towns in southern Ghana. A few main roads carry traffic in and out toward neighbouring towns, and the residential areas grow outward from them in irregular blocks. Streams cut through the land, and the town's edges blur into a patchwork of plantations and smallholdings rather than ending at a clear boundary.
A Kade map poster turns this informal pattern into a clear graphic image, with the busier centre drawn densely and the outskirts dissolving into space. It is a way to hold on to a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all, whether for someone born there or for someone who spent time working in the region.
Main routes converge on the middle of town, where the street network is densest, and radiate outward to the smaller communities of the district.
Newer housing tends to follow the main roads outward, so the built-up area has an irregular, branching outline rather than a compact circle.
Beyond the town, plantations, farm tracks and small streams fill the frame, giving the poster a lighter texture at its edges and a sense of the surrounding countryside.

Koteā ko Kade
Many people from Kade live elsewhere in Ghana or abroad, and a map of their hometown is a quiet, personal thing to hang at home. It also makes a thoughtful gift for parents, grandparents or anyone returning after years away.
