Te mapa
Kaeng Khoi lies on the Pa Sak River in Saraburi province, where the central plain of Thailand starts to give way to the higher ground of the northeast. The river winds through the district, and the town is built along its banks. On a map the water sets the direction for the older streets.
The town is best known as a railway junction. At Kaeng Khoi the Northeastern Line continues toward the Khorat Plateau and a branch splits off, which gives the map an unusual pattern of diverging tracks. The surrounding hills are limestone, and the area has long been associated with cement production. Quarries and industrial sites appear as open, irregular shapes at the edge of town.
A Kaeng Khoi map poster brings together river, rail and hill in one frame. The curving Pa Sak meets the straight lines of the railway, and the built-up area sits between them. It is a working landscape more than a picturesque one, and that gives the map a clear, graphic character.
Tracks split near the town, one line heading onward to the northeast and another branching away, forming a distinctive fork across the map.
The river bends through the district and past the town, adding a soft meandering line against the straight geometry of roads and rails.
Low hills and quarry sites around the town break up the plain, appearing as open irregular shapes around the edges of the street network.
