Te mapa
Kawanoechō is on the northern coast of Shikoku, in Ehime Prefecture. It was formerly the city of Kawanoe, and in 2004 it merged with neighbouring towns to form Shikokuchūō. On the map a narrow coastal strip holds most of the streets, with the Seto Inland Sea on one side and mountains rising steeply on the other.
The area is known across Japan for paper production. Mills and factories line the coast and industrial land extends along the shore, which gives the waterfront a distinctly industrial outline. A small hill in the town carries a reconstructed castle keep that overlooks the harbour and the sea.
A Kawanoechō map poster captures this tight fit between land and water. The streets are packed into the level ground. The harbour and reclaimed industrial areas give the shoreline a sharp, angular edge. Behind them the roads thin out as they climb into the hills, and the composition feels layered and compact.
The coast forms the northern edge of the town. Harbour basins and reclaimed land give it a sharp, geometric outline.
A small hill near the centre carries a castle keep. It stands out as an open, rounded shape within the surrounding streets.
Steep slopes rise behind the coastal plain. Roads become sparse and winding as they climb away from the town.

Koteā ko Kawanoechō
For people from Kawanoe or anyone who knows the Inland Sea coast, the map shows how the town fits between mountains and water. It is a neat, detailed piece for a small wall.
The title, the subtitle and the coordinates line can be personalised with a name, a date or the old city name. The map comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
