Te mapa
Kébémer lies in the Louga region of northwestern Senegal, in the historic Cayor country between Dakar and Saint-Louis. From above, the town forms a compact block of sandy streets built along the main north–south route. The old railway alignment runs parallel to that road and gives the town a clear central axis.
Around the built-up area the map is almost empty. Dry farmland and scattered villages stretch across flat, sandy plains, marked only by tracks. Toward the Atlantic, the Niayes belt of low wetland hollows runs along the coast. Kébémer is often cited as the birthplace of Abdoulaye Wade, Senegal's third president.
A Kébémer map poster frames a small town defined by its route through the Sahel. A dense rectangle of blocks sits on a long transport line, with open country on every side. That contrast between settlement and emptiness works very well in black and white.
The main road and the old railway corridor pass side by side through the town, giving the whole street plan a single strong direction.
Residential quarters form a fairly regular block pattern around the centre. It reads cleanly on a map because there are few natural barriers to interrupt it.
Past the edge of town, the map opens onto flat farmland crossed by thin tracks, a reminder of how much space surrounds settlements in the Sahel.
