Te mapa
Kenscoff lies in the mountains south of Port-au-Prince, high on the slopes of the Massif de la Selle. From above, it looks nothing like the dense capital below. Roads follow the ridgelines in tight switchbacks, and houses and small farms line them rather than forming blocks. Steep valleys fall away on either side.
The altitude gives Kenscoff a noticeably cooler climate than the coast. For generations it has been a place of market gardens that grow vegetables and flowers for the city. It has also been a retreat from the lowland heat. The route up from Pétion-Ville is one of the best-known mountain roads in Haiti.
A Kenscoff map poster shows how terrain shapes a settlement. Every line bends to follow the land. Tight curves, scattered clusters and wide open areas together create a composition that looks almost hand-drawn. It is a thoughtful gift for someone with family in the hills, or a keepsake of the cool air above the city.
The main road climbs from Pétion-Ville in repeated hairpin bends. On the map they show up as a distinctive zigzag line that is easy to follow.
Homes and small centres sit along the ridgelines rather than in grids. They form thin, branching clusters that follow the high ground.
Between the roads, steep hillsides are worked as small plots and gardens. They leave broad open areas on the print that emphasise the mountain setting.

Koteā ko Kenscoff
Kenscoff means something particular to people from Port-au-Prince and to the Haitian diaspora: cooler air, markets, family houses in the hills. A map of its winding roads keeps that place close, wherever the poster hangs.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family name or a date. The map comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
