Te mapa
Kota Kinabalu stretches along the west coast of Sabah, pressed between the South China Sea and a line of green hills. The compact downtown sits on a narrow strip of flat and reclaimed land by the water, with a waterfront road running along the shore. Behind it, streets climb towards Signal Hill, and newer districts extend north and south along the coast.
Just offshore, the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Park rise from the sea, and on a map they form a cluster of shapes close enough to the city to belong to the same frame. North of the centre, Likas Bay forms a smooth curve with a lagoon and parkland along its edge. Inland, the land rises steadily towards the Crocker Range.
The town was formerly known as Jesselton and was heavily damaged during the Second World War, so most of the present centre dates from the rebuilding afterward. Today it serves as the capital of Sabah and the gateway to Mount Kinabalu, which lies further inland. A Kota Kinabalu map poster places coast, islands and hills in one balanced composition.

The downtown occupies a narrow band of flat and reclaimed land along the shore, with a dense grid packed between the sea and the rising ground.
North of the centre, Likas Bay forms a smooth, open curve of water with its lagoon, a calm shape among the coastal roads.

Koteā ko Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu is where many Borneo journeys begin and end, and its map brings back island mornings and sunsets over the sea. It makes a thoughtful keepsake for people who live there and for anyone who has passed through.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a travel date. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir makes the coastline especially striking.
