Te mapa
Kuala Belait sits at the far western edge of Brunei, on the point where the Belait River opens into the South China Sea. From above, the town appears as a tidy block of streets laid out between the curving riverbank and a long, almost ruler-straight coastline. Beyond the built-up area the map softens into low, swampy country threaded with creeks and the wide loops of the river heading inland.
The town is the administrative centre of Belait District and is closely tied to Brunei's oil industry, which has shaped the district since the Seria field was found along this coast in 1929. That history reads on the map as a line of settlement stretching east along the shore, with roads and pipelines following the beach instead of pushing into the forest behind it.
A Kuala Belait map poster captures this meeting of river and sea in clean black lines. The river frames one side of the town and the open water frames another, so the street grid sits within two natural borders. The result is a quiet, balanced composition in which the coastline carries as much weight as the streets themselves.
The river bends past the western side of town before meeting the sea, giving the map a strong curved edge that contrasts with the regular blocks of the centre.
The South China Sea shore runs in a long, nearly unbroken line, so a wide sweep of open water fills one side of the poster and keeps the layout calm.
Roads follow the shoreline east towards Seria, drawing a thin band of settlement between beach and inland wetland that shows how the district grew along the coast.

Koteā ko Kuala Belait
For people who have lived or worked in Belait, often on oil and gas postings far from home, this map marks a specific stretch of coast and the years spent there. It is a quiet way to remember a place that few maps outside Brunei show in detail.
You can add your own title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the town's industrial background, while Paper softens the river and the shoreline.
