Te mapa
Los Vilos is a coastal town in the Choapa Province of Chile's Coquimbo Region. It lies roughly between Santiago and La Serena. The Pan-American Highway runs close by, and for many travellers the town is a familiar stop on the long drive north along the coast.
From above, the shape of Los Vilos is defined by the Pacific. A bay and its beaches form the western edge, rocky points break the shoreline, and the streets fill the flatter ground behind the water. Inland, the land rises into dry coastal hills, and the built area thins out quickly.
A Los Vilos map poster combines a detailed coastline with a small, orderly town. Fishing and summer holidays have long shaped the place, and the map reflects that relationship with the sea. In a minimalist print, the ocean appears as a large calm area that gives the town its outline.
Bays, beaches and rocky headlands form an irregular western edge. The long coastline is the defining feature of the whole composition.
Chile's main north-south highway runs just inland of the town. It creates a long line parallel to the coast and frames the streets between road and sea.
East of the town, dry hills rise and leave the frame mostly empty. That open ground makes the built strip along the water stand out more.

Koteā ko Los Vilos
Los Vilos is where many Chilean families have spent summers or broken long road trips. A map of it is a reminder of salt air, a particular beach and a well-known stretch of coast.
Change the title and subtitle to a family name or a holiday year, and keep or edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint works especially well on a coastline.
