Te mapa
Meihekou lies in the south of Jilin province, in rolling country that rises toward the Changbai foothills. On a map the town sits in a valley. A river runs through the built-up area, and the streets gather along its banks before giving way to farmland and wooded slopes on every side.
The name means roughly the mouth of the Plum River, which is a good way to read the map. Water sets the direction here. The main roads follow the valley floor, and the newer districts spread across flatter ground as the town grows. Railway lines come in from several directions, a reminder that Meihekou has long been a junction on the routes of the northeast.
A Meihekou map poster shows a town of moderate size set in a larger landscape. You get a dense centre, a river line, the long curves of track, and a network of rural roads fading into the hills. In black and white the contrast between the tight urban core and the open country around it is plain to see.
The river gives the town its name and its orientation, drawing a soft line through the centre that the main streets run alongside.
Several railway lines meet at Meihekou, and their long, gentle curves cut across the grid as confident strokes that show the town's role as a regional junction.
Beyond the last blocks the road pattern loosens into the irregular lanes of the surrounding hill country, framing the town in open rural space.

For people from Meihekou, or anyone with family ties to southern Jilin, this map shows a familiar place in a new way: the valley, the railway and the streets that lead home, reduced to clean lines.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark a name or a date, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The poster comes as HD files for $9 or printed on matte paper.
