Miguel Hidalgo is one of the boroughs of Mexico City, on the western side of the capital, and its map is unusually varied. The largest single feature is the Bosque de Chapultepec, a huge wooded park that fills much of the centre of the borough with lakes, paths and open ground.
North of the park, Polanco has a dense grid of streets lined with shops and restaurants. To the west, Lomas de Chapultepec climbs into the hills along winding roads and cul-de-sacs. Paseo de la Reforma cuts diagonally through the area, and the park holds Chapultepec Castle and the National Museum of Anthropology.
