Te mapa
Iztacalco is the smallest of Mexico City's boroughs by area, a tightly built district east of the historic centre. Like much of the capital, it stands on the bed of a former lake, once an area of island villages and canals. Today the map shows an almost unbroken fabric of residential blocks, crossed by major urban expressways and the broad corridors of the city's main roads.
The most recognisable shape here is the Magdalena Mixhuca sports complex, home to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, where the Mexican Grand Prix is held. From above, its winding track, stadium curve and surrounding parkland form a large open patch within the dense surroundings. The Palacio de los Deportes, with its distinctive domed roof, sits in the same complex.
A Iztacalco map poster places that looping circuit among streets packed closely on every side. The contrast is what makes the composition work: fine, regular blocks, heavy lines of expressway, and then a sudden open space of curves and green. In a light style the grid looks almost like fabric, while darker styles bring out the traffic arteries.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez traces sweeping bends through the sports complex. It is the most unmistakable outline in the borough.
A large sports and park area of fields, tracks and trees, and the main open space in an otherwise built-up district.
Small, closely packed residential streets that cover most of the borough and give the map a fine, even texture.

Koteā ko Iztacalco
Some hang Iztacalco because they grew up in its colonias, others because of race weekends at the circuit. Either way, the map shows an area of the capital defined by its density and one very recognisable racetrack.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a neighbourhood, a race year or an anniversary, and edit the coordinates line if needed. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
