Te mapa
Mint Hill lies on the southeastern edge of Charlotte, mostly in Mecklenburg County with a small portion in Union County. It was incorporated in 1971 and has kept a noticeably quieter, more open character than many of its neighbours. On a map it shows the classic pattern of the Carolina Piedmont suburbs: winding roads, cul-de-sacs and large lots among patches of woodland.
There is no dense grid here. Older country roads cross the town in long, gentle curves, and residential subdivisions branch off them in loops and dead ends. Interstate 485, Charlotte's outer beltway, runs along the western side of town, giving the map one strong, sweeping line. Creeks and wooded buffers break the housing into distinct neighbourhoods.
A Mint Hill map poster turns this suburban pattern into something unexpectedly graphic. The looping streets and cul-de-sacs form delicate, branching shapes, like leaves on stems, and the beltway and main roads give the composition structure. It is a map for people who know their own street by its curve and dead end.

Charlotte's outer beltway sweeps along the western side of town, a bold curved line that frames much of the composition.
Long, gently curving routes that predate the subdivisions still cross Mint Hill, forming the framework for its newer streets.

Mint Hill is where many people raised families or bought a first home, and its winding streets are part of that story. A map poster marks the neighbourhood, the school route and the road home.
