Te mapa
Miyakojima is a city that covers the Miyako Islands, a group in Okinawa Prefecture far to the southwest of Okinawa Island. The main island is low and flat, made of raised coral limestone, with no mountains or large rivers. On a map it has a distinctive triangular shape. The town of Hirara is on its western side, and roads fan out across farmland toward the coast.
The most striking lines on the map are the bridges. Irabu Bridge, opened in 2015, crosses more than 3 km of open water to Irabu Island and is known as the longest toll-free bridge in Japan. Kurima Bridge and Ikema Bridge link two smaller islands. Each appears on the poster as a thin, confident stroke across the sea.
Around the coast, fringing reefs and white-sand beaches such as Maehama are known for their unusually clear water. A Miyakojima map poster frames the island's quiet interior of sugarcane fields and small roads against its long, varied coastline. The composition looks especially clean in the Blueprint or Sand styles.

The main town on the western coast holds the densest streets, including the harbour and the city centre. It anchors one side of the island.
Capes, bays and beaches trace an intricate outline around the flat island. The coastline becomes the frame for the whole composition.
