Te mapa
Miyoshidai lies in southern Saitama Prefecture, within the wide commuter belt northwest of central Tokyo. The ground here is part of the Musashino upland, a level terrace once covered by woodland and dry fields. On a map the area shows a mix of closely packed residential streets and open patches of farmland, a pattern typical of the edge where the capital's suburbs begin to thin.
The surrounding district is known for the Santome farmland, laid out in the Edo period as long, narrow strips running back from the road, each with a house, a field and a belt of woodland. From above these parallel plots form one of the most distinctive agricultural patterns in the Kanto region, in sharp contrast with the curving lanes of modern housing nearby.
A Miyoshidai map poster captures that mix of old planned fields, suburban streets and the major roads that tie the area to Tokyo. It is a detailed, finely textured image that rewards the larger print sizes, where the smallest lanes and field edges stay legible and the contrast between old and new layouts is easiest to read.

Residential streets curve and branch between the fields, dense with small plots and houses, typical of the outer suburbs of the Tokyo area.
Patches of mixed woodland, traditionally kept for fuel and as windbreaks, remain between fields and houses and appear as softer shapes on the map.

Koteā ko Miyoshidai
For residents and former residents, the mix of suburban housing and old strip fields is part of daily memory, from walks along field roads to commutes into Tokyo. The map turns that familiar ground into a precise, restrained picture that suits a modern interior.
