Te mapa
New Braunfels was founded in 1845 by German settlers under Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels, and the German heritage is still visible in its festivals and street names. It lies on the Balcones Escarpment, where the Texas Hill Country falls away to the coastal plains, between San Antonio and Austin.
Two rivers shape the map. The Comal River, fed by large springs and only a few miles long, flows through the town before joining the Guadalupe, which loops around the east side. At the centre, a round main plaza with a fountain gives the old grid a clear focal point, and the streets radiate outward from it.
A New Braunfels map poster combines a regular grid with water that won't stay regular. The rivers curve through the streets, Landa Park surrounds the springs, and the old centre sits at its plaza. Beyond, newer suburbs and Interstate 35 stretch across the landscape, making for a layered and highly legible print.

A round plaza marks the historic heart of town. The old streets run out from it, forming the clearest geometric feature on the poster.
The Guadalupe River bends around the east side of town and meets the Comal. Its wide meanders frame the composition from that side.

New Braunfels is a town people return to for the rivers, the festivals and the Hill Country landscape. The map captures both the old German-planned centre and the water that defines summer here.
