Te mapa
Palm Coast, in Flagler County on Florida's Atlantic coast, was laid out as a planned community starting in the late 1960s and 1970s. Its map looks unlike most American towns. Instead of a grid, it is made of curving roads, cul-de-sacs and loops, arranged into sections where street names often share a first letter.
In the eastern part of the city, a network of saltwater canals branches off the Intracoastal Waterway, with houses lining their banks. Interstate 95 runs north–south through the city, and large areas of wooded land and golf courses break up the residential sections.
A Palm Coast map poster turns these loops and canals into a very graphic pattern, close to abstract at larger scales. It suits residents, retirees who moved here from elsewhere and anyone who knows this stretch of coast between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach.

Neighbourhoods are organised in lettered sections of curving roads and cul-de-sacs, a planned pattern that looks almost ornamental from above.
The waterway runs along the city's eastern side, separating it from the barrier island and forming a long, calm line on the map.

Koteā ko Palm Coast
Few cities look as distinctive from above as Palm Coast. The loops and canals make a map that works as a graphic print, and residents will recognise their own section immediately.
