Te mapa
Pavlovskiy Posad lies east of Moscow on the Klyazma River, where the smaller Vokhna flows into it. The town was formed in the nineteenth century by joining several villages, and its map still shows that origin. Separate clusters of streets are knitted together by later roads, and the two rivers wind between them, so the town reads as a set of connected pieces rather than one grid.
Its name is known across Russia because of its shawls. Since the nineteenth century local mills have made woollen shawls printed with large floral patterns, and they remain a well-known symbol of Russian textile craft. The industrial sites sit close to the water, as mills usually did, and the railway line running east from Moscow cuts straight across the town.
A Pavlovskiy Posad map poster suits people from the town and anyone who likes a map with strong natural lines. The two rivers curve through the streets and are edged by meadows and woodland, so the drawing has both dense patches and open space. In the Paper or Sand style it takes on a warm quality, much like the textiles the town makes.
The Vokhna joins the Klyazma within the town. Their curving channels divide the map into separate districts that still feel like the villages they once were.
Industrial land linked to the town's shawl-making history sits near the rivers. Its larger building footprints stand out against the finer pattern of the residential streets around it.
The main line east from Moscow crosses the town in a firm straight line. It slices through the curving river pattern and links Pavlovskiy Posad to the capital.

Koteā ko Pavlovskiy Posad
For many people, Pavlovskiy Posad means a grandmother's shawl or a childhood by the river. A map poster brings the place itself onto the wall, with its bends, bridges and neighbourhoods drawn precisely. It makes a thoughtful gift for someone who left the town but still calls it home.
