Pèrèrè is a town and commune in the Borgou department of north-eastern Benin, close to the border with Nigeria. The surrounding country is open savanna and farmland, with scattered trees, fields and small villages linked by unpaved roads.
From above the town is modest and open. A central area where the main roads meet holds the market and public buildings, and around it houses and compounds are spread out with plenty of space between them. The map shows a loose pattern of roads and paths that gradually dissolves into the countryside.
