Te mapa
Quillacollo lies in the Cochabamba Valley, a short distance west of the city of Cochabamba, and has grown to form part of the same metropolitan area. The main highway to the west runs straight through it, and on the map the town reads as a band of streets along that road, with a regular grid in the centre and suburbs merging into neighbouring municipalities.
To the north, the land rises toward the Cordillera del Tunari, whose slopes are cut by seasonal streams that fan out across the valley floor. Quillacollo is best known across Bolivia for the festival of the Virgin of Urkupiña, held each August, when pilgrims and folk dance groups fill the streets and climb to a hill outside town.
A Quillacollo map poster shows the town's clear, ordered structure: a central plaza and grid, the long highway corridor and the fields and streams that still separate some neighbourhoods. With the mountains to the north, the composition has a natural sense of direction, a fitting piece for pilgrims, residents and families with roots in the valley.
The main road west from Cochabamba runs straight through the town, a strong line that gathers the central grid and links it to neighbouring communities.
The main square and surrounding blocks form a regular grid at the heart of town, the focus of daily life and of the August festival processions.
Seasonal watercourses descend from the Tunari range and cross the valley floor, leaving thin channels and green strips that break up the pattern of streets.

Koteā ko Quillacollo
For many Bolivians Quillacollo is tied to the Urkupiña pilgrimage and to family life in the Cochabamba Valley. A map of the town marks those connections gently, whether as a gift for a devotee or a reminder of home abroad.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a festival year or a family name, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand reflects the dry tones of the valley.
