Te mapa
Quissamã lies on the northern coast of Rio de Janeiro state, in low, flat country between the town and the Atlantic. The municipality includes part of the Restinga de Jurubatiba National Park, a protected area of coastal sandy vegetation and a chain of lagoons behind the beach.
On the map, the town itself forms a small, orderly grid inland, while the land toward the sea is marked by the elongated shapes of lagoons lying parallel to the shore. The Atlantic coastline runs long and almost straight, giving the whole composition a strong horizontal line.
Quissamã has deep roots in sugar cane farming, and its old farmhouses are part of the local heritage. A Quissamã map poster reflects both sides of the place: a working town surrounded by fields, and a coastline of lagoons and restinga that looks almost untouched from above.
A series of narrow coastal lagoons lies behind the beach, their elongated shapes forming a distinctive row across the map, parallel to the Atlantic shore.
The shoreline runs for many kilometres in a long, gentle line, a clean edge that gives the poster a strong and simple horizon.
The town centre sits back from the coast in a compact grid of streets, surrounded by rural roads that lead out into former cane-growing land.

Koteā ko Quissamã
Quissamã is a place of family history for many, whether through the old sugar farms or the coastal landscape. Its lagoons and long coast make an unusually beautiful map to live with.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand pairs naturally with the coastline and restinga.
