Te mapa
Rowland Heights is an unincorporated community in eastern Los Angeles County. It sits where the San Gabriel Valley floor meets the southern slopes of the Puente Hills. The Pomona Freeway runs along its northern side, and commercial strips and shopping plazas gather near the interchanges.
Moving south, the street pattern changes character. Straight arterials give way to looping residential roads, cul-de-sacs and winding drives that follow the contours of the hills. Undeveloped ridgelines and parkland show up as empty spaces. The community is widely known for its large Asian-American population and its concentration of restaurants and shops serving it.
A Rowland Heights map poster shows clearly how Southern California suburbs fit themselves around topography. Flat, gridded land sits by the freeway, and a maze of curves climbs into the hills. The drawing is very graphic in black and white, and it suits a hallway or study.
State Route 60 runs along the northern edge of the community. It forms a bold horizontal line on the map, with the main commercial plazas clustered around it.
Toward the south, the streets bend into loops and dead ends that trace the hillsides. This gives the map its distinctive, almost fingerprint-like texture.
Undeveloped hills and parkland leave broad blank areas between neighbourhoods. These gaps are a reminder of the terrain the suburb was built around.
