Te mapa
San Luis Jilotepeque sits in the department of Jalapa, in the dry hill country of eastern Guatemala. From above, the town is a tight cluster of blocks around a central square, and the built-up area thins out quickly into winding rural roads, field boundaries and the contour-hugging paths typical of the region.
The town is widely known as a Poqomam Maya community and for its pottery tradition, with handmade ceramics that have long been part of local life and trade. That craft history does not show on a street plan, but the plan does keep the modest, walkable scale of a place where daily life still happens close to the centre.
A San Luis Jilotepeque map poster reduces all of this to line and space. The town grid forms a small, dense mark near the middle, and the roads leaving it bend and branch as they follow the terrain. The result is quiet and balanced, a portrait of a highland town defined by its setting rather than its size.
The core is a compact set of blocks around the main square, the familiar colonial-era arrangement found across Guatemalan towns, rendered here as a small, even pattern of streets.
Beyond the last blocks, routes curve with the hills instead of running straight, giving the edges of the map a loose, organic texture that contrasts with the regular centre.
Much of the frame is countryside, so the poster carries generous white space, with thin tracks and scattered lines hinting at farms and small settlements nearby.

Koteā ko San Luis Jilotepeque
People hang this map to keep a hometown or a family place in view, especially when they live far from Jalapa. The simple shape of the town reads clearly on a wall, and it carries a sense of home without needing any explanation beyond the name.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name or the year someone left or returned. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
