Te mapa
Sarh is the main city of southern Chad and one of the largest in the country, sitting on the Chari River in the Moyen-Chari region. The land is flat, and the city spreads out from the riverbank in a broad, low grid of streets. On a map, the Chari provides the one strong natural line, a wide channel that dominates the edge of the town.
Under French rule the town was called Fort-Archambault, and it became a centre for cotton processing, an industry still associated with Sarh. The Chari also ties the city to fishing and farming along its banks. Growth has pushed steadily inland, where later neighbourhoods extend in long, regular blocks that fade gradually into fields and savanna.
A Sarh map poster is a study in calm geometry: straight streets on open ground, the river curving along one side, and roads leading out toward the surrounding farmland. It suits anyone with a tie to southern Chad, and anyone who likes maps where water and a simple street pattern do all of the work.
The Chari runs past the city as a broad, gently curving band, the dominant natural line on the map and the reason the town grew here.
Straight, widely spaced streets cover the flat land, forming long rectangular blocks that give the whole drawing an even and measured rhythm.
Routes leave the city toward the countryside, thinning into single lines that suggest the open farmland and savanna lying beyond the urban area.

Koteā ko Sarh
For families from Sarh living in N'Djamena, Europe or elsewhere, a map of the town is a quiet way to keep home in view. It also makes sense for anyone who worked or studied there and remembers the river at the end of the street.
The poster can carry a title of your choosing, a subtitle with a date, and the coordinates of the place you care about. Choose Classic, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a matte print from partners in 30+ countries or take the $9 HD files.
