Seguin sits on the Guadalupe River east of San Antonio and serves as the seat of Guadalupe County. It is one of the older towns in Texas and was named after Juan Seguín. From above, the historic centre forms a tidy grid around the courthouse square, set on higher ground near the river.
The Guadalupe loops along the south side of town in broad, wooded bends, and Walnut Branch creek runs through the centre to meet it. Parks and green corridors follow both, softening the grid's edges. Texas Lutheran University adds its campus to the plan, and newer subdivisions and highways extend outward across the flat country.
Seguin is also known for its oversized pecan statue, a nod to the region's pecan trees. A Seguin map poster brings together the square, the creek and the river's curves into a clear, balanced composition.
The river curves along the town's southern edge in wide, tree-lined loops. They are the most flowing lines on an otherwise gridded map.
The historic centre is laid out around the county courthouse on a regular grid. It is a classic Texas town plan and still the heart of Seguin.
This creek crosses town toward the river, with parkland along much of its course. It forms a green diagonal through the streets.

Koteā ko Seguin
Seguin is a good fit for Texans who value small-town roots, for Texas Lutheran graduates, and for anyone who spent summers on the Guadalupe. A map of the square and the river bends makes a warm and personal wall piece.
