Te mapa
Shenandoah is a community in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, south-east of central Baton Rouge. From above it shows a classic American suburban layout. Curving residential streets and cul-de-sacs branch off a few longer roads, making a pattern of loops and dead ends rather than a grid. Tree cover and drainage channels run between the neighbourhoods.
The area grew as residential suburbs spread out from the state capital, and its street plan records that growth one subdivision at a time. Each development has its own internal logic: a crescent here, a cluster of courts there. They are stitched together by the busier roads that carry traffic toward the city.
A Shenandoah map poster makes those curves the subject. Without house numbers or traffic, the loops and branches become an almost botanical pattern, spreading out from the main roads. It is a map of home in the most literal sense, the streets where people live, walk dogs and learn to ride bikes.
Residential courts end in rounded turnarounds, and seen together they form small bulb-like shapes that give the map much of its character.
A few longer roads run through the community and link its subdivisions to the wider Baton Rouge area, forming the frame that holds everything together.
Channels and wooded strips run between neighbourhoods, reflecting the low, wet ground of south Louisiana and dividing the street pattern into distinct sections.

A map of your own subdivision is a personal thing, often more meaningful than a skyline. It works well as a housewarming gift, a record of a first family home, or a reminder of where someone grew up.
Personalise the title and subtitle, with a street name or move-in date for example, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Get the $9 HD files or a printed poster, framed if you like.
