Te mapa
Silvania sits in the Sumapaz province of Cundinamarca, on the mountainous descent between the Bogotá savanna and the warmer valleys to the south-west. From above, the town reads as a tight cluster of blocks around a central square, with streets bending where they meet the contours of the hillside. Beyond the edge of town, the pattern loosens into rural lanes and scattered farms.
The main road connecting Bogotá with Fusagasugá and the lowlands runs close by, and on a map it appears as a long, looping line threading through the terrain. Smaller roads branch off toward the veredas, the rural districts that surround the urban centre. The contrast between the orderly core and the irregular country roads gives the drawing a natural sense of movement.
A Silvania map poster turns this mountain town into a quiet study of line and density: fine streets gathered at the centre, broader strokes of road climbing away, and open space where the slopes take over. Rendered in black and white, it keeps the essential geometry of a place many Bogotá residents know as a nearby escape into milder air.
The town's blocks gather around a main plaza, the traditional anchor of Colombian towns, which shows up on the map as a small open rectangle ringed by denser streets.
The highway toward Fusagasugá traces long curves through the hills near town. It is one of the strongest lines on the poster and a clear sign of the steep terrain.
Around the urban core, thin country lanes spread into the surrounding veredas, forming an irregular web that frames the town against the Andean landscape.
