Te mapa
Soanierana Ivongo lies on the east coast of Madagascar in the Analanjirofo region, north of Fénérive-Est. On a map, the town is a small, loose cluster of streets between the Indian Ocean and the tropical interior. A river reaches the sea here, and the coastline runs in long, gentle curves in both directions.
The town is best known as the main departure point for boats to Île Sainte-Marie, or Nosy Boraha, the long, narrow island lying offshore. Travellers heading to the island by sea pass through its small port. North of town, the coastal road becomes rougher and more remote.
A Soanierana Ivongo map poster is mostly about the coast. It shows the ocean edge, the river mouth and the handful of streets linking the town to the water. With so much open sea in the frame, the composition is spacious and quiet.
Boats for Île Sainte-Marie leave from here, making the waterfront the town's focal point. The short streets leading to the shore reflect this role.
A river meets the Indian Ocean beside the town, curving through the flat coastal land. It adds a soft, winding line to the edge of the map.
The coast stretches away in long, smooth arcs. It creates a clean boundary between the detailed land and the empty ocean.

Koteā ko Soanierana Ivongo
Many travellers remember Soanierana Ivongo as the last stop before crossing to Sainte-Marie, and for local families it is simply home. A map titled with a trip, a name or a date captures that meeting point of land and sea.
Blueprint and Noir give the ocean depth and weight. Paper and Sand suit a coastal, relaxed interior, and Classic black & white is the cleanest option. Printed posters ship from partners in more than thirty countries.
