Te mapa
Soavinandriana lies in the central highlands of Madagascar, west of Antananarivo, in a region shaped by old volcanoes. The land here is uneven, with rounded hills, valleys and small crater features, and on a map the town appears as a compact cluster of streets, with roads curving away through the countryside rather than running straight.
The town is close to Lake Itasy, one of the largest lakes in Madagascar, which lies to the north. The surrounding land is mostly agricultural, with rice grown in the valley floors and other crops on the slopes. Paths and small settlements are scattered across the hills, linked to the town by a web of minor roads.
A Soavinandriana map poster shows a place defined by terrain. The streets bend with the land, the roads follow valleys, and the town's outline is soft and organic. In black and white, this creates a gentle, flowing composition, a map that feels closer to a landscape drawing than to a city plan.
The roads leading out of Soavinandriana curve through hills and valleys, forming long, fluid lines that reflect the volcanic terrain of the Itasy region.
Flat valley floors around the town are used for rice cultivation, creating open spaces on the map between the more densely drawn hillside areas.
Lake Itasy lies to the north of the town, a large body of water that anchors the wider region and appears as a calm shape at the edge of the map.
