Sultanpur, often called Sultanpur Lodhi, is a town in the Kapurthala district of Punjab. It has special importance in Sikh history. Guru Nanak lived here as a young man, and it is believed that he received his revelation after entering the waters of the Kali Bein, the rivulet that runs past the town. Several gurdwaras mark places linked to his time here, including Gurdwara Ber Sahib.
On a map, the town sits on the flat, fertile plain of the Doaba region. The older centre is a dense network of irregular lanes. Newer streets spread outward, and fields divided into regular plots surround the built-up area. The Kali Bein curves along one side of the town and gives the composition its main natural line.
A Sultanpur map poster keeps a small town with deep spiritual significance in view. It is a meaningful gift for Sikh families, for people from Kapurthala living abroad, and for anyone who has visited the gurdwaras on pilgrimage.
The rivulet associated with Guru Nanak's revelation runs along the town and is the strongest natural line on the map.
This gurdwara stands beside the Kali Bein at the place linked to Guru Nanak and is the town's main pilgrimage site.
Regular fields of the fertile plain surround the town and give the edges of the poster a fine geometric pattern.

People hang a map of Sultanpur to honour a place of faith, family origin or pilgrimage. The simple drawing keeps the focus on the town and the Kali Bein, which suits prayer corners, living rooms and gifts for elders.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with a family name or a date of pilgrimage. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
