Te mapa
Tamura lies in the Abukuma Highlands of central Fukushima Prefecture, east of Kōriyama. The city was formed by merging several smaller towns and villages, and its map reflects that: separate clusters of streets in the valleys, connected by roads that wind through wooded hills and farmland. There is no single dominant centre; instead, the settlement is distributed across a wide area.
Tamura is known for Abukuma Cave, a limestone cave system that is one of the notable natural sights of the region. The surrounding highlands are rolling rather than steep, with small rice fields in the valleys and forest on the slopes.
A Tamura map poster turns this dispersed settlement into a calm, rhythmic image. The road network forms long curving lines between the town centres, and the gaps between them are filled by the gentle relief of the hills. It is an understated composition that suits the quiet character of the highlands.

Roads follow the contours of the highlands between the towns, forming long, curving lines that connect the different parts of the city.
The limestone landscape around Abukuma Cave lies within the city, part of the wooded upland that frames the settlements on the poster.

Koteā ko Tamura
For residents and people with roots in the Abukuma Highlands, Tamura is a quiet, familiar landscape of valleys and hills. A map poster keeps that landscape in view, wherever you live now.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; Paper gives the hills a particularly soft appearance.
