Te mapa
Tchaourou is a town in Benin's Borgou Department, in the wooded savanna of the country's centre. It grew along the main transport corridor linking the coast with the north. The railway from Cotonou to Parakou passes through, and so does the main north–south highway. On a map, these two long lines run almost parallel, and the town's streets spread out on either side.
Tchaourou is best known nationally as the birthplace of Thomas Boni Yayi, who served as President of Benin from 2006 to 2016. The commune covers a large, thinly populated area of farmland and savanna. Around the town, the map opens into long rural roads and scattered villages, with small streams running across the gently rolling ground.
A Tchaourou map poster shows how a town can be shaped by a line of transport. The railway and highway form a clear spine, and neighbourhoods fill in around them in a loose, irregular pattern. It is a simple, readable print that suits people from the town and anyone who knows central Benin by road or rail.
The Cotonou–Parakou railway runs straight through town. It forms a long, clean line that anchors the composition from one edge to the other.
The main road follows a similar route to the railway, and together they create a transport corridor along which the town developed.
Streets thin out quickly into open land, and rural tracks lead away through farmland and woodland towards the villages of the commune.

A town map like this is a personal document. It shows where someone was born, went to school or first set out along that road north. For Beninese families living in Cotonou, Lagos or Paris, it keeps a distant home in view.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be personalised. Choose Classic black & white for crisp contrast, or Sand for a warmer, earth-toned look. Digital files are 300 DPI and come in six print sizes, with no watermark.
