Te mapa
Vyshneve lies just beyond the southwestern boundary of Kyiv, and on a map it reads as a tight, self-contained town at the edge of a large capital. A railway line runs through it, and the streets are organised on either side of the tracks in a mostly regular pattern of blocks.
One of the strongest shapes nearby is Kyiv’s Zhuliany airport, whose runway draws a long straight stroke to the northeast of the town. On a Vyshneve map poster, that line gives the composition a clear direction, while the residential grid provides a finer texture around it.
The name Vyshneve comes from the Ukrainian word for cherry, a reminder of the orchards that once surrounded the area. Today the town mixes older private houses on small plots with newer apartment blocks, and the map shows both: narrow lanes in some districts, larger blocks with wide gaps in others.
The rail line cuts through the town in a steady diagonal, dividing it into two halves and setting the direction of many nearby streets.
The runway of Kyiv’s Zhuliany airport lies close by, a single bold line that stands out against the smaller, denser shapes of the suburb.
Streets of small private houses sit next to larger apartment districts, so the grid alternates between fine, close lines and wider, more open blocks.

Koteā ko Vyshneve
Vyshneve is home for many people who work in Kyiv but live just outside it. A map of the town is a personal marker of that everyday geography, from the station to the streets around a first apartment.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates of your choice, such as a move-in date or a family name. The poster comes in five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as a $9 digital download or a printed poster.
