Te mapa
Yangjiaying lies in the northern part of Shanxi province, in the landscape of the Loess Plateau. This is a region where wind-deposited soil has been carved by water into deep gullies, terraces and ridges, and settlements tend to follow the valley floors where the ground is flatter and roads can pass more easily.
On a map, that terrain explains the town's shape. Streets gather where the land allows, and roads leave along valleys rather than in straight lines across the country. The result is an irregular outline that feels closely tied to the land, quite different from the planned grids found in many Chinese cities.
A Yangjiaying map poster presents this relationship in black and white: a small built-up area, a few connecting roads and the open space of the plateau around them. It suits anyone with a personal connection to this corner of Shanxi who wants a precise, uncluttered image of the place rather than a generic view of the province.
Roads into and out of the town bend with the terrain, tracing the lower ground between hills and giving the map a flowing, irregular structure.
Houses and streets form a small, concentrated patch on the map, sharply defined against the much larger area of open plateau around it.
The surrounding countryside belongs to the Loess Plateau, a landscape of eroded ridges and gullies that shapes where people build and how routes are laid out.

Koteā ko Yangjiaying
Small places in northern China rarely receive attention on printed maps, which makes a detailed poster of Yangjiaying unusual. It is a way to keep a hometown or a family origin close, drawn clearly enough to recognise individual streets.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, adding a family name or a meaningful year. Pick one of five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download a free watermarked preview before choosing files or a print.
