Yuepu is a town in Baoshan District in the northern part of Shanghai. It lies in the flat country near the mouth of the Yangtze River. The map is typical of Shanghai's outer districts, with broad arterial roads, large residential compounds and industrial sites. Straight canals and small waterways cross the land, a legacy of the delta's long history of farming and drainage.
Seen from above, Yuepu is organised in large blocks rather than fine-grained streets.
