Yushkovo is in the western part of Moscow Oblast, in the wooded, gently rolling country beyond the capital's outer suburbs. On a map, the landscape is mostly forest broken by clearings. Settlements, garden plots and roads fill these open patches, and between them the woodland comes right up to the edges of the streets.
