Te mapa
Zavety Il’icha is a residential area in Moscow Oblast on the railway line running northeast from the capital toward Pushkino and Sergiyev Posad. Like many settlements in this belt, it grew around a suburban platform. On a map, the railway is the organising line, with streets branching off both sides of it into a mix of apartment blocks, private houses and the remains of the pine and birch woods that once covered the area.
The name, which means Ilyich's precepts, dates from the Soviet period, when new settlements were often named after Lenin and his ideas. The plan itself reflects dacha-era origins more than planned Soviet housing: narrow parallel streets, irregular plots and roads that bend to follow old boundaries. Larger buildings sit nearer the main roads and the station.
A Zavety Il’icha map poster shows the kind of commuter landscape where millions of people around Moscow actually live. The main features are the straight railway line, the looser web of residential streets and the green gaps between neighbourhoods. As a design it is modest and balanced, with a clear central line and a fine texture on either side.
The line from Moscow runs through the district as a straight, confident stroke. Everything nearby is arranged around the platform and the paths that lead to it.
Narrow parallel lanes and small blocks recall the area's origins as a settlement of country houses. They give the poster a dense but gentle pattern.
Leftover patches of forest sit between neighbourhoods. On the map they read as quiet open areas that give the streets room to breathe.
