The map

About this Ban Na map poster

Ban Na sits on the broad, flat country of Sukhothai province, where the Yom River plain spreads out in every direction. From above, the town shows up as a loose network of roads rather than a dense core. House plots and small lanes line the main routes, and the spaces between them fill with the square pattern of irrigated fields.

The province carries the name of the Sukhothai Kingdom, which Thai tradition treats as an early capital of the Thai state. Its old city is now a UNESCO-listed historical park. That long past sets the tone for the region, although Ban Na itself is a working town of farms, markets and roadside commerce, and it looks the part on a map.

A Ban Na map poster turns this quiet pattern into something you can read. Long straight roads cross thin lanes, with blank open ground in between. In black and white the town looks airy and deliberate. The empty spaces matter as much as the drawn lines, which suits a place shaped by fields as much as by buildings.

01

Floodplain setting

The land around Ban Na is nearly level. Roads can run straight for long distances, and the town spreads outward instead of stacking up, which gives the map an even, measured rhythm.

02

Roads through fields

The main routes are lined with houses and shops. Behind them the pattern opens into agricultural plots, so the map shows a clear contrast between thin ribbons of settlement and wider blank ground.

03

Scattered lanes

Small side lanes branch off the main roads toward houses and farm plots. On the poster they read as fine hairlines that give texture to the quieter parts of the sheet.
