Te mapa
Abba lies in Nana-Mambéré, the prefecture in the far west of the Central African Republic that runs toward the border with Cameroon. From above the town is compact and loosely built, with houses and compounds grouped along a handful of roads. Around it the landscape opens into savanna, wooded strips and farmland, with few hard edges.
This is a region of upland plateau and river headwaters, where roads matter more than any single landmark. Tracks lead out of the centre toward neighbouring settlements, and small streams mark the low ground with lines of denser vegetation. The map is spare, and that spareness is its character.
An Abba map poster works much like a sketch. A few firm lines for the main roads, a softer web of paths between them, and wide stretches of blank paper where the land is simply open. For anyone connected to the town, it gives a clear, respectful record of a place rarely drawn at all.
The town's layout is set by the roads passing through it, which meet near the centre and give the map its main structure.
Wide, unbuilt stretches around the settlement leave generous empty space on the poster, a clear picture of a small town in open country.
Small watercourses wind through the low ground nearby, adding thin curving lines that contrast with the straighter roads.

Koteā ko Abba
Places like Abba seldom appear on anything printed, which is part of why a map of one means so much. It suits someone who grew up there, worked there or keeps family in western Central African Republic, and wants the town treated with care.
Add your own title, a subtitle and a coordinates line, perhaps a name or an important year. Then pick from five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to match the room and the memory.
