Te mapa
Beichengqu lies in central Inner Mongolia, near the boundary with Shanxi, on the high plateau that stretches across northern China. The landscape is open and elevated, with wide valleys, dry hills and farmland. From above, the urban area appears as a compact, planned grid set in this spacious landscape.
The name means north city district, and the area is part of a larger urban centre in the region. Its streets follow the broad, rectangular pattern typical of planned towns in northern China, with wide avenues, large housing blocks and industrial areas along the main transport routes. Winters are long and cold, and summers are short and dry.
A Beichengqu map poster captures the contrast between the built grid and the open land. Straight avenues and uniform blocks sit at the centre, while dry stream beds, field boundaries and roads spread outward across the plateau. The simple setting makes the image clean and graphic, suited to a minimal black and white print.
Wide avenues and large rectangular blocks form a regular, orderly pattern that stands out sharply against the open land around it.
The high plains around the district are broad and sparsely built, so the urban area reads as a clear, compact shape within a wide frame.
Seasonal watercourses cross the land around the district in branching, uneven lines, adding a natural texture to an otherwise geometric layout.

Koteā ko Beichengqu
Beichengqu is home to people who know the wide skies and hard winters of Inner Mongolia, and a map of the district is a way to hold on to that setting from far away. Its clean geometry also makes it a strong graphic print.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to suit you. Pick from five styles: Sand and Paper give a warmer tone, and Noir a darker one. Then download six print sizes or order a printed poster.
