Bradley is a village in Kankakee County, Illinois, directly north of the city of Kankakee and about an hour's drive south of Chicago. The two places run together, and on a map the boundary between them is almost invisible. Bradley's streets follow the familiar Midwestern grid of straight roads and rectangular blocks, laid over flat prairie land.
The village was originally called North Kankakee. It took its present name from the David Bradley farm implement company, which moved its works here in the 1890s. Today the older grid near the centre is surrounded by later subdivisions with curving streets, and Interstate 57 runs along the western side. Commercial areas cluster near the highway interchanges.
A Bradley map poster shows that mix of old grid and newer growth clearly. The straight streets give the design order, and the interstate and the curving subdivisions add contrast. It is a natural choice for residents, for people who grew up in Kankakee County and for anyone who wants a clean, graphic reminder of home.
The older part of the village follows a straight grid of streets and rectangular blocks. It prints as a crisp, orderly pattern typical of Illinois towns.
The interstate runs along the western side of the village. Its broad line and interchanges form a strong vertical stroke that frames one side of the poster.
Bradley's streets flow straight into Kankakee's to the south, so a slightly wider frame can show both communities as one connected street network.

Koteā ko Bradley
People hang a Bradley map to mark a first house, a hometown or years spent in the Kankakee area. The grid is easy to read and pleasing to look at, and it fits well in a kitchen, hallway or home office.
Add your family name, street or move-in date to the title and subtitle, and keep or change the coordinates. Choose one of five styles, then download the $9 HD files or order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
